When and where will the mission take place ?
The economic mission of La Francophonie will take place from June 17 to 19 in Cotonou, Benin.

Until when can I register with the Mission Economique de la Francophonie?



Registration on the platform is open from 19 February to 19 March 2025 for international companies and institutions, and from 19 February to 18 April 2025 for local companies and institutions. The number of participants is limited to two per organisation.

How are the applying companies selected to participate in the mission?
The OIF will select international participants with the support of independent experts, based on criteria such as international engagement, the quality of submitted projects, and their alignment with the selected strategic economic sectors. Geographic representativity and the promotion of gender equality will also be taken into account.
Beninese partners are responsible for selecting local participants.
When will I know if I've been selected to take part in the mission?



The selection period for participants will run from 19 March to 31 March 2025. Selected candidates will be contacted during the week of 7 April 2025.
Are there any specific health recommendations or entry formalities for Benin?

I've been invited by a business support organisation in my country to take part in the mission. Should I apply?



Yes, you are invited to fill in the registration form, which will help us to focus your business meetings during the mission.

My company operates in an economic sector other than those highlighted during the assignment. Can I still apply?
Registration is open to everyone. Priority will be given to companies active in the sectors highlighted by the mission (Agro-industry, Cultural and Creative Industries, Digital Transformation).

Where can I stay during the mission ?
The International Organisation of La Francophonie will negotiate special rates with Cotonou hotels for participants who will be paying for their own accommodation. Details of these hotels will be shared with selected companies and institutions in April 2025. 
What economic sectors are highlighted in the mission ?
The targeted economic sectors of the mission are : 
  • Agro-industry, and in particular processing activities to increase the added value of Benin's exports (cotton, cashew nuts, corn, organic palm oil), especially in terms of mechanization and soil fertility improvement, and the development of production to strengthen the country's food sovereignty; 
  • Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI), including media industries, fashion, sustainable tourism, event managment and promotion of the country's patrimony; 
  • Digital Transformation, and in particular Artificial Intelligence-assisted Business Process Outsourcing (“BPO”), e-government solutions and the development of application solutions in the agro-industry and ICC sectors.
